- sounds like thrush ask your doctor or chemist they will know and also what medication to use on such a young baby
- Ok go see your doctor they will prescribe some cream for the thrush you may need something for yourself. As for the sleep she may have colic if this happens in the evennings for 3 days for 3 weeks for 3 hours each time. Massage her belly, wind her, give her dummy to suck. swaddling is good.
- definitely sounds like thrush.don't panic though ,its common in new babies.visit your doc who will give you the right medication for her and be VERY thorough in sterilizing her feeding equipment. i would suggest keeping her on formula milk she might not be getting enough breast milk . bottle-fed babies settle quicker in my experience good luck
- Congrats new mommy...You have several issues going on...First you need a lactation consultant...It is almost impossible to maintain your milk supply from just pumping. Milk production is controlled by a complex hormonal response as a result of the interaction of your baby with your breast. You need to get her on the breast..Next thrush is simple to deal with. You can use a formula that is often easy to get from a drugstore..Gentian Violet and put a few drops on her tongue (it will stain blue). When the stain wears off the thrush should be gone. I would also stay away from the dairy formula. You can also allow her to suck a bit of plain yogurt from your finger to help clear up the thrush. Lad the crying...Your baby has spend 9months sleeping with you and to expect her to desire differently is silly. Let her sleep with you. Who wants to sleep alone in a crib. I will be happy to see moms do away with the barbaric practice of isolating a baby to a crib (cage as I call) it..even dogs don't do that. Best of luck
- Sounds like she has it. You will have to take her to the doctor and they will give her Nystatin Drops.
- As you are feeding, it is important that special attention should be given to cleaning the nipples after each feeding. Clean all cups, bottles, nipples and other objects that your baby has placed in her mouth for at least two weeks and until symptoms have disappeared. Above all better to ask your doctor.
- It could be thrush or could simply just be due to the formula milk that she is drinking. Drinking formula milk will cause a white coating of the tongue which my ped said it's perfectly normal. You can either leave it alone or to clean it. For my girl, what I do is before bath time, I will clean her mount and tongue using sterile cotton gauze (can be bought from pharmacy) dipped in cool boiled water, ie water that was boiled and then cooled. If its is milk coating, it can easily come out using this method, but not for thrush.
