- No this is very common with babies. The main reason is bottles not being sterilised properly, this is NOT your fault though so dont panic. Just use steriliser! The doctor today will just give the baby something for it! Should then clear up.....Congratulations on your new baby
- thrush is very common in young babies, it could be the teet on the bottle, or a dummy causing it.. dont worry, and take her to see your GP, who will prescribe, if my memory serves me right, some drops to put on her tongue,
- Its ok nothing too halmful, all babies get it , it caused throuh germs as a newborn has not been near any it causes white mouth. Its caused by the baby putting its hand in its mouth or a dummy or even kissing your baby on the mouth its just their first contact with germs once they have had it they dont get it again. The doc will give you yellow drops usually, to get rid of it . So dont panic your baby is fine.
- Thrush is actually the yeast normally found in the body growing out of control. There are usually other flora in the throat which keeps everything in balance. Thrush is common after taking antibiotics because the antibiotics throw off the balance of germs in the throat. Thrush is uncomfortable, but easy to clear up. The doctor sees this quite often and it's not a reflection on you. There could be a number of factors that can cause this. It's not serious, so don't worry. The doctor will probably ask questions to figure out what's causing it and you'll soon have it cleared up.
- It is just a yeast infection in her mouth. My daughter got it when she was 2 and she wasn't on a bottle. My brothers baby was born with it. The doctor will give you a prescription to rub in her mouth. Make sure you wash your hands good before and after. Good Luck!
- Thrush is a kind of yeast infection. Yeast lives in everyone's body in small amounts, but you get a yeast infection when it isn't kept under control b the good bacteria. Lots of babies get thrush. If your doctor hasnt seen grosser things than thrush, they got their medical license from a Cracker Jack box.
- don't worry my baby boy had thrush a few weeks ago i noticed it because my daughter had it when she was a baby, i went to the doctors and got a gel dactarin to rub in his mouth twice a day he loved it because it was orange flavoured, you will see a difference very quickly although you do need to use it for a few days after it clears up to make sure that the infection is gone. don't worry as this is very common in babiesxxx
- it's caused by the milk residue building up. The DR will give you medication for it, be careful when giving it though!! It tastes nasty so just little squirts at a time, and is stains every cloth it touches and wont come out. I would suggest using the same burpy towel under the chin every time. (wash it daily obviously) Make sure that after every feeding you're washing out the mouth with a soft cloth. Blessings and good luck. oh.... use a new nipple every feeding till it's gone or you'll just keep reinfecting the baby. Binkies too!!!
- Of course not, its very common, there are lots of things that can cause it, anit-biotics for one, if you have had it yourself it is easy to pass onto your child, don't worry. My son had thrush a few times when he was a baby, its simple to cure, you will probably be given daktarin gel to rub in your baby's mouth or something similar. Sometimes it can also be caused if you are using cold water sterilising, the sterilising fluid could be too strong, but as i say its common & nothing to be embarrassed about.
- its just the bottles not being sterilised properly or depending how old your baby is you may have had thrush when you gave birth as they can pick it up that way but don't worry its nothing serious and your doctor should never judge you x x x x
- this is extremely common in young babies, its caused by an unbalance in bacteria, it doesnt just occur in breastfed babies, you may have accidentally touch the teat of the bottle before washing your hands, just simple things like that which can cause thrush, just be aware that when she drinks her bottle she may cry as thrush can sting when in contact with warm milk!
