Tongue Thrush

Is this oral thrush again?

I have been putting Daktarin gel on my tongue for almost a week because of oral thrush which I got from a course of antibiotics. I thought it was clearing up as there was only a small yellow patch left at the back of my tongue. But now my whole tongue has got a white covering is it the thrush coming back again?

1. .YES, even when the patches are gone it's still there.Need to take something like Nystatin and complete the coarse,but check w/ the Dr who gave you the ABX first.
2. im sorry its thrush again.finish your course and give it time to clear up.probably the antibiotic is still in your blood.
3. Get yourself some LIVE yogurt from the shop this should help the live yeast in the yogurt feeds on the fungal infection of thrush thus killing it
4. It does sound like it. It may well not have been cleared up. You might be better with anti-fungal lozenges your GP will see you and prescribe . Shows once more that antibiotics should not be prescribed unless really necessary, I hope yours were!
