Tongue Thrush
oral thrush from antibiotics?
i just got my wisdom teeth taken out yesterday, and so now i'm on my second day of using penicillin. i also noticed that i had a thin layer of thrush on my tongue that comes and goes in spurts. can this be attributed to the antibiotics?

- Yes, it can be. Call your dentist. He may change the antibiotic that you are taking and/or give you a mouth rinse to use for the Thrush.
- You should call your dentist / oral surgeon. Antibiotics can cause thrush but that my not be what is going on. Call the Dr and eat some yogurt in the mean time. Stay on the antibiotics until the Dr tells you otherwise or you could develop an infection.
