Tongue Thrush

My toddler has a strange white mark on his tongue. Its not thrush though. can anyone help?

i looked on wipedia and it says it may be geographical tongue which can affect children under the age of 4. i m gonna take him the doctor tomorow but just wondered if anyone knew anything about it.

1. My wife has the same. Her GP refered her to a consultant who diagnosed exactly what you say above. A geographical tongue. He assured her it was`nt cancer and will do her no harm. She has had it now for about 3 years.
2. it could be that I would wait in see what the doctor says. if the doctor gives good news then it's probably milk it stains the tounge when kids are young.
