  2. definitely get tested. To help the symptoms, gargle with a tea tree oil solution: 6-10 drops of tea tree oil to a shot glass of warm water. Swish through mouth and gargle, then spit out (do not swallow). This helps disinfect the mouth. If the solution is too strong (burns on the tongue too much), use less drops.
  3. Possibly. It could also be oral herpes or even just thrush and ulcers... Get tested, which you should be doing at least once a year if you are sexually active anyway. In the meantime, a baking soda and water paste swabbed on the inside of your mouth will help the thrush.

  8. Do you use oral steroids for asthma because they can also cause thrush that can go down to your esophagus if left untreated.
