Tongue Thrush
Oral thrush / tongue infection?
I recently took a course of strong antibiotics as I had severe tonsillitis, this has cleared my tonsillitis but given me painful thrush (I think that's what it is) on my tongue. I have red raw patches and bumps all over. Please could anyone recommend some home remedies as I am in a lot of pain and currently not able to eat! Thanks

- Acidophilus in capsule form works for me. Also, yoghurt in large amounts, and let it sit on your tongue for a while before you swallow. Works almost immediately, and my tongue was burning something fierce.
- Oh my gosh i remember this happened to me for a throat infection. The pain was awful! Yogurt is wonderful for this. Let it sit on your tongue, swallow and repeat. If this doesn't relieve the pain, there is a medicated mouthwash(rx only) that will work much quicker.
