Do I have thrush? I seem to have thrush on my tongue but I can't quite tell. Near the back of my tongue I see a few blisters and there is a white coating over my taste buds. There are also small white specs on my tongue. When I looked at pictures of thrush I noticed the patches were a lot thicker. It doesn't hurt but I really want to get rid of it becuase its making me uncomfortable to know theres fungus growing on my tongue. It is about 2:30 in the morning right now and I can't sleep because of this. Does anyone know what my conditions are based on my simptoms? There is also a small red dot in the center of my tongue. Also, what should I do about this?

Oral thrush in newborn baby? Does anyone had any experience in dealing with Thrush in newborn babies? My grandson is in Foster Care, and during our visit with him yesterday...we noticed that his tongue was completely white...it looked like a thick covering of chalk! It was also on his upper and lower lips. I have seen thrush before, but never this severe! I have also looked on the internet for pictures of thrush, and have found none that comes near to comparing to the severity of what is in my grandson's mouth!) The Foster parent stated that it had just started the night before. Is it possible for for thrush to get this severe within 24 hours?
My tongue feels like there's a hair or food on it, but there's not. It's also very white.. what is it The very back of my tongue has felt weird for 2 or 3 days.. like there's a hair back there or a piece of food stuck.. but there's definitely not. Now my tongue is really white back there and I can like scrape off the white stuff.. I looked up oral thrush, but my tongue doesn't really look like those pictures.. it's more of an all over coat of white, not spots. What might it be? I was recently on antibiotics followed by diflucan. I don't smoke or chew.
Is it possible to have oral thrush for over 10 years and not realize it? I've had very bad breath since I was a child and nobody ever knew why. Recently I've been looking online and noticed some pictures of Oral Thrush. I've always noticed that I've had this one spot on the inside of my cheek that's always white, and I have a white coated tongue with a thick coating on the back that will never scrape off, no matter how hard I try. I also have some small splotches on my tongue that a doctor diagnosed as Geographic Tongue but now I'm thinking otherwise, since I saw a picture online that looks exactly like my tongue does. Is it possible for me to have this condition for 12 years without it getting any worse than it already is? i mean, I've always had the spots on my tongue, the coating on the back and the splotch on the inside of my cheek. I've ALWAYS had the nasty breath. The breath seems to be getting worse as time goes by so I'm really starting to wonder. Can you help?

White sores on TONGUE? please help.? hi. i have 3 small, white bumps on the side of my tongue near the back. they kinda hurt. i noticed my tongue had a strange feeling while i was drinking a beer a few days ago, and i was wondering if it is possible that the beer caused the white bumps. if not, what else could it be? it is not oral thrush i just looked up pictures.
White spots on tongue, 6+ months? http://www.assorted-lemons.com/tongue.jpg I have had these white spots on my tongue now for about six months, in about he same consistency. Because it has not spread past this, I do not believe it is thrush. I have tried using mouthwash and brushing my tongue on a regular basis, but these little buggers will not go away. Anyone have any ideas of what they might be, and how to get rid of them? (And yes, I'm sorry the picture isn't that good. The picture makes them look sort of yellow, but they are indeed white.)

Problems on my tongue :(? Every doctor I've ever seen has no clue what this stuff is on my tongue. I've gone to WebMD and sites like that, but I can't find a single thing that accurately describes what this is, or even a picture that vaguely resembles it. I have a rather thick layer of white on my tongue, and most professionals want to call it yeast. The problem with that is that I've had it even when taking ultra-strong yeast medication, and even used a rough-edged tongue scraper, but it still stays. I've stayed off of sugars to avoid yeast (thrush), and I'd give my right arm to find out what is causing it. My secondary concern is whether or not this causes bad breath (who can tell if their own breath smells bad?). Isn't there a lab test that can be run to identify it? Any new ideas and/or suggestions other than what I've tried before are certainly welcome!
